Crazy Reltionsip Stuff

CJ and I went through a really rough patch over the last year. I didn't blog about it because my emotions were all over the place and the last thing I wanted to do was say/write things I only meant at the moment; out of emotion. That is how rumors start and people form one-sided opinions.

Cherie and I spent a lot of time together discussing life and men and hashing things out. She decided to try free dating online and I decided to sit back and watch. Literally.

One night we were out at a local sports bar and one of the guys she had been talking to online mentioned he would be there, so she told him to look for her there. He showed up and I nearly fell off my chair--it was my cousin's ex-husband! Now THAT was an awkward situation but we chatted and had a nice evening anyway. Needles to say, no he and Cherie are not dating now.

My Head is Spinning

It has been so busy lately that I feel like my head is spinning. It is after 4pm, my dad is on his way over here for diner and I am still in my sweats wrapping up the workday. *SCREAMS*

I need a manicure, I desperately need a massage, and I definitely need something done with my hair. It is thick, curly, and really unmanageable some days.

Oh, haven't I mentioned the piercings and facial tattoo? Hahahaa! That is another blog post entirely! Anyway, back to hair. I know I am not the only frazzled mom. Some become so fed up they simply cut their hair. Others just brush it straight and that's that. Unfortunately, for most, they were not happy with the result. How awful to do something like cut your hair out of frustration and then look in the mirror and think, "what in the world did I just do?!"

If you are feeling that way, just wait. I found a really awesome website that sells ghd stylers and has all sorts of hair styling advice. Therefore, if you have longer hair, look at this style—simple yet it has cuteness about it.

For an on the move, effortlessly chic look:

• Step 1 To section the hair, place your thumbs above your ears, draw a line around the back of your head until your thumbs meet. Gather the hair above your thumbs and clip it out of the way.
• Step 2 Lightly mist your hair with ghd Curl Hold Spray. Separate your hair into 2 sections. In each section, place the ghd Gold Max styler in at the roots, rotate it 180° and glide the styler through the hair until reaching the end. Catch each section as it falls, and loosely twist it around your finger to define the curl.
• Step 3 For the top section of the hair, continue the same technique. To create soft curls at the ends of the hair, simply straighten the hair and simply rotate 180° towards the end. Finish the hairstyle with ghd Final Fix Spray for extra hold.
• Step 4 To finish the look, simply apply a small amount of ghd final Shine spray to your hands and work through your hair styling the hair back off your face.

I am going to continue to look through this website to find more quick and easy styles.

Fall Shopping for Babies

Well, so far I believe all the school clothes shopping I had to do for the kids is finally completed. I am super lazy when it comes to shopping so I am always looking online for things rather than actually going into stores.

A friend of mine has a little one and while she doesn't need to buy school clothes for her little boy, she does need to get him some fall clothes. Of course I suggested she check out www.very.co.uk/ for baby clothes because, in my opinion, this site has really adorable outfits at great price. I took a quick peek nd picked out a few pieces I really like.

This Ladybird Hooded Knitted Cardigan is perfect for fall. It's lined and has a zipper (I am not a fan of buttons on baby clothing)

Keeping with the fall theme, I found these other outfits that I think would be perfect for her little guy :) I am totally loving this adidas Baby Fleece Suit!

And this Nike Baby Velocity Suit is nice!

She is also looking for some outfits that are not as casual. Of course I found a bunch, I'm good like that!

How's this Ladybird Baby Boys 3 Piece Set for an important occasion?

I love shopping online. I know I can find anything I want or need simply by searching on the Internet for it. I find all sorts of online stores with the most awesome deals, just like the one above!

Memories of Working in the Medical Field

I worked in the medical field as a medical assistant for several years. The attire choices were pretty limited back then and even though we got to wear scrubs of our choosing, we still had to wear frumpy lab coats!

Today, if you landed a job in the medical field, no matter as a medical assistant or a veterinary tech, you have lots of styles to choose from, like these dickies scrubs from Marcus uniforms:

Don't those look so much nicer than what I had to wear??! I remember feeling like the stay puft marshmallow man in the lab coats I had to wear.  Remember him?

Highlights Coupons

Do your kids love those Highlights books? Mine do! In fact, I remember loving these books when I was a kid! The Highlights Puzzle Books are a favorite around here.

We get all sorts of offers in the mail for these magazines but now I order online using the highlights coupons offers I find.

Even Olivia, who is 8 years old, loves these magazines. She likes to play school with the boys and use these magazines as learning tools.

Military Rings

If you or someone you know is in the military, military rings are a great keepsake. I found these online:

My family is really not a military family. The only one who served in the military, that I know of, was my grandfather. He was in World War II and have lots of interesting paraphernalia from his time there.

Getting Sick in Disney

One thing I will say about Disney, they do have adequate medical care inside the parks. Even the medical stations had those poc carts set up inside.

I am always a bit worried about illness or injury while we are on vacation but not when we are in Disney! Thank goodness for that because we go every year!
