Steelers in the Superbowl!

My team is in the Superbowl and I am super excited! How awesome if they would win a seventh Superbowl?! I know there are a few people having Superbowl parties but I will be staying home.

We have a nice LCD HDTV in the living room to watch the game. I will be very comfortable in my own home on my own sofa with lots of junk food, watching the game!

Your Own Business

Before you decide to start your own business, definitely do thorough research and make sure you list all the pros and cons.

This was my list back when CJ contemplated leaving T-Mobile to work from home:

PROS:

• make more money
• both home = freedom to do more family things and spend time with kids
• control of our finances, the harder we work, the more we make.
• making more money now means paying off debt such as car, motorcycle, Disney vacation home
• we can both spend time together to grow L&C Freelancing
• he will leave his current job on good terms so he can always go back to that job if things fail working from home. He'd be starting at less money but at least he'd have a job -- so long as that company is around

CONS:

• fear of lack of stability
• freelance companies suddenly go under--w/o warning? (Companies sometimes do that too though)
• need to be sure money lost from quitting job is recovered and then extra made to cover health insurance

Living Paycheck to Paycheck

Things were tight here, money wise, there for a while. I was even reading up on payday loans thinking that would be a solution.

Thankfully, things are back on track now but I will be the first to admit, this month was the toughest month by far since CJ decided to quit his job at T-Mobile and work from home doing what I do.

Wrinkles Be Gone

Wrinkles are ugly and they do come with age. I will admit, some of the best anti wrinkle cream on the market can really help but there are some things you can do to keep those wrinkles at bay for a long time.
Here are a few tips to keep your skin wrinkle free:
If you smoke, stop smoking
Stay out of the sun
Avoid strong soaps and scalding water
Keep a diet rich in Hyaluronic Acid
Treatments that contain Hydroxy acids and moisturizing creams may help get rid of wrinkles

Exercise--UGH

I started back at the gym this month..so far it is going okay it I will admit, sometimes I still do some research for the best fat burners because I feel like I need a little push.

I do feel a lot better since getting back to exercising though, I feel more alive and not so sluggish!

Long Weekend

The kids not only had off Friday and Monday because of Martin Luther King Jr. but then snow on top of it all! SAVE ME!

Today I was awoken by Dante at 6:30am! YIKES! He was up and wanted some cereal. So I got up and of course, made coffee first. Since it was just us up, I decided to use the quiet time to try and get some work done. (I am a freelance writer for Demand Studios.)

Um, I now know I should go for the blogging instead of the article writing when first waking up. I just couldn't make sense of any of the information I need to find regarding the side effects of diet pills so I decided to clean the kitchen instead!

CJ is up and writing articles now too. He's already been to the grocery store so I can cross that off the list! I am so glad he goes grocery shopping - I hate going!

Olivia's Second Grade School Picture

I finally remembered to get Olivia's second grade school picture up! I can't believe how much she looks like Jeff's side of the family:

She loves dressing for school photos; she always tries to coordinate her outfit with the background she chooses. I can't wait until I have school photos of the boys. Knowing them, they will want to wear a suit, complete with ties-necktie.

The boys actually love 'dressing up' we just never go anywhere that requires them to be in good clothes.

Fashionable Rings

I saw a woman at the salon the other day with a gorgeous ring on her finger. I swore it was a diamond but after overhearing a bit of her conversation with the nail tech, realized it was cubic zirconia. WOW!

After doing a bit of research, I found that synthetic cubic zirconia has remained the most gemologically and economically important competitor for diamonds since 1976 because of its low cost, durability, and close visual likeness to the diamond.

I found some really pretty cubic zirconia rings online and think I may get one just to make a fashion statement.

Another Fire at Universal Studios

This latest fire at Universal Studios was pretty bad, thank goodness for security cameras and attentive employees!

Fire damage to a Universal Orlando attraction is so extensive that arson investigators are unable to determine the cause of the blaze, authorities said this afternoon.

This Accomplishes So Much

We need to replace the sink in the kitchen. So I'm spending time looking at kitchen sinks online while CJ 'helps' me make decisions...

You know, this is fine...I will just pick what I want and spend how ever much money I feel is acceptable. I am sure once I do that, it will be the last time CJ is 'busy' hanging out with Gary the cat!
