A Huge Love For Horses

Olivia is very much in love with horses, although she has only ridden one once. She reads books on horses and draws pictures of horses. Of course she wants a horse, she has for over a year now. I guess that's a common dream for most little girls.

I've tried to explain to her that horses take lots of work and they are expensive, especially if you have to board them, which we would since we don't have the room to have one here and her dad can't have one where he lives. Even the equestrian apparel that is needed can be very expensive.

I wanted a horse when I was a little girl too ;)

My Latest Business Adventure

I'm so proud of my little business! I run L&C Freelancing -- a small freelance writing business with a handful of regular clients and some new ones that pop up from time to time.

We have a site where all articles written by team members are posted. The latest article was written by Kali Winters, and it's about the benefits of giving personalized baby toys during the holidays.

This year was a sort of 'test run' for the business, next year we will be kicking it into high gear!

Planning for Disney Again

I have been slammed with work lately so I still need to write up a review on our stay at Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa and I still need to finish writing the trip report from our October trip!In the meantime, I booked our next trip, which is in June! June 19-25, 2011 to be exact. We will be staying at Bay Lake Tower.

So all this planning and talking about Disney has some of my friends asking questions about how we are able to afford to go so often. Since we are DVC members, the cost for us is different than for someone who is not.

Black Friday Shopping

CJ and I usually have all our Yule shopping done by now--like, we normally do that shopping in October! So, here it is, almost Thanksgiving, and we haven't done anything yet. So, I am wondering if, at this point, we should tackle shopping on Black Friday or not?

The pros are definitely the savings, the cons are, well, the crowds--oh and having to get up so darn early. Do you shop on Black Friday?

Cyber Monday

I've been busy getting my clients informed about Cyber Monday since most of them have online stores.

Cyber Monday is as huge as Black Friday, it's just that it takes place online. This is awesome for people who prefer to do their holiday shopping online rather. than fight the crowds at the stores.If you have never heard of Cyber Monday, simply go online the Monday after Thanksgiving and you will be pleasantly surprised at all the online deals that emerge!

Just a Thought

I think, if diet pills really worked, not too many people would be overweight, don't you agree? I'm reading reviews about apidexin now--I have never heard of this pill, until now.

There are SO MANY out there, seriously! I'm really curious, have any of you ever had success with diet pills? If you did, which ones and have you kept the weight off?

Working From Home Update

CJ has been working from home since the middle of October, so about one entire month so far and it's going very good. He has doubled his salary doing this. We still haven't gotten health insurance for ourselves though as we're still on the hunt for the cheapest health insurance that fit our needs.

Although it was a scary transition, I am definitely feeling much better about the decision to give this a try.

Possible Mini Trip Next Summer

Our next Disney trip is in June! Obviously my thing is Disney but we are still hoping to take a mini vacation elsewhere next summer.

We looked at some pretty awesome Branson Missouri vacation packages but we just never got around to booking anything. Why Missouri? Just to go somewhere different. In fact, there is a lot of Branson attractions that we find interesting.

I'm hoping maybe next year we can plan out our summer a bit better, especially since he and I will hopefully still be working from home full time! This summer felt wasted--no day trips to Hershey Park or Sesame Place, no beach time, no mini vacation :[
