I Am Ready For Food and Fun!

We leave on Tuesday!  5 L O N G days from now!

I better find one hell of a weight loss diet pill because I am going to need something for our upcoming Disney vacation! We're eating at lots of great places but one I'm really looking forward to is 'Ohana! We are having dinner there the first night we arrive--to celebrate my birthday! (which is today by the way!)

I also can't wait to be at the Magic Kingdom again! I LOVE IT THERE! Ohhhh how I miss Disney World!

Huge Decision Finally Made

CJ and I have made the decision regarding him leaving T-Mobile and working from home. We both agree he should--we need to give this a try. If we succeed, YAY! If we fail, well, at least we tried.

So, once we get back from DISNEY!!!! we are going to have to sort everything out--what bills need to be paid when, look at health insurance options (we lose ours November 1st) and mortgage insurance life rates as well.

Sometimes this scares us both but all in all, we are super excited about it!

DoLittle Turned 5

My Dante DoLittle turned 5 on September 19th. I can't believe he is 5 already! I know, saying that is so cliche´ but it's so true.

From this:

To this:

Since his birthday fell on a Sunday this year we told him the entire day was all his. He wanted to go to the Lehigh Valley Zoo, so we went there first:

Then we went to On the Border for lunch. After lunch we stopped at a playground for about an hour:

When we got home we had cake and he opened presents. He had a wonderful day! We all did!

Already In 2nd Grade

Olivia has been in 2nd grade now for 2 weeks and so far, she loves it. I will admit, I still felt sad watching her get on the bus that first day.

Last night was 'meet the teacher' night. Jeff came up and the 3 of us went to the school. Luckily no one noticed the dark circle around Livi's eye--from where Wyatt hit her with a ball. It was one of those foam ones with the hard-ish outside covering.

So far she is doing really really well in school. I think she loves the challenge of school.

When You Can't Sleep, Grab A Cat

Who knew cats could be used as all natural sleep aids? Apparently Dante and Wyatt did:

Those two crack me up! Every night Dante needs Boots and Wyatt wants Gary. One morning I woke to see Wyatt and Dante in Dante's bed with Boots.

I really hope these two stay as close as they are now--being only 14 months apart, you'd think they would remain close. They hardly ever fight and one cannot go to ebd without the other.

Shopping for Furniture

Even though our house is an older brick home, we'd like to modernize it a bit, at least with interior decor and furniture, starting with the dining room. I've been looking at modern dining tables, chairs and light fixtures.

There is just so much I want to do to this house. Like knock it down and start over...

Our Disney Dining Reservations for October

Here are the places where we have dining reservations in Disney for our next trip. Oh, here comes 10 pounds! When we were there this past May we had more places reserved, I thought for sure I'd have to buy some powerful fat burner to keep myself from gaining but I actually lost weight simply from all the walking we did!

So, here are the places we will be eating at:

  • Dinner reservations at 'Ohana
  • Lunch at T-Rex in Downtown Disney
  • Breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table
  • Dinner at Germany's Biergarten in Epcot
I'm soooo ready for this vacation!

It Never Fails!

I am STILL backed up with work--trying to get caught up and cram as much in as I can before vacation. So here I sit, taking a break from work-but blogging!

Oh, and why is it that I'm doing research for article on the best weight loss supplements and suddenly got a craving for pretzels? UGH! That's like eating while watching "The Biggest Loser" hahahaa!

I still have a bunch of photos to post from our fun summer family day trips. I promise, I will get to those soon!

My Summer

It was so hot this summer that we really didn't do much of anything. The kids didn't even want to go outside to play much at all.

I spent most of the days working inside, rather than outside, where I had planned to work. Nothing better than sitting outside working on the laptop, feeling the sunshine, watching the kids play.

Today, my task is to determine the best diet pills in the world and compile a list of my picks. Hey, at least with my job I learn interesting things!

Spending Halloween in Disney

I can't wait to see Livi's face when she sees Jack on our upcoming Disney trip!

Need suggestions for what to wear to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party! We were thinking of going as a zombie family--does that leave out checking out any sexy halloween costumes? LOL--Olivia wants to be a 'zombie Princess' and wear the Cinderella dress she got at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. That's as far as we got!

Wedding Anniversaries

Friends of mine are coming up on their all-important first wedding anniversary and even though they are not having any sort of anniversary party I'd still like to get them soemthing.

I'm not sure if I want to go traditional or unique--what about uniquely traditional? Hahahaa. Anyone have some good ideas? I won't have to ship the gift to them--I can take it myself so getting it to them is not an issue.

Disney in 26 Days!

In just 26 days we will be in Disney again! One month and FOUR days until we are back in Disney! This time for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!

With this trip on the horizon, the plans for landscape lighting and extra cool stuff for outside the house will have to wait; I must save my money for Disney trinkets! Priorities people!

We have never been there in October and I am really looking forward to it! I'm so used to being there in April/May but I hear October is really awesome!

Working From Home

As many of you know, I work from home. When I tell people I'm working, I get odd looks, as if they don't believe I actually WORK and get paid to do so. It is almost as if these folks cannot believe it is really possible to make a living working from home--well, believe me, it IS.

I started on this journey in January of 2005 when Olivia was almost 2 years old and I had just found out I was pregnant with my son, Dante. I just knew I wanted to be home with my children. There was no way I wanted to put them in daycare--and with how expensive childcare was/is, I knew I'd be working just to pay for them to be there.

I searched and searched for legitimate job opportunities that I could do from home. Some came through for me and some were scams. I had to weed everything out through trial and error. It was daunting and extremely frustrating. However, by 2007 and pretty much had it mastered and was very good at being able to tell a real opportunity from a scam.

Soon friends and family members began asking me to help them find legitimate work from home jobs too. I was able to help some but it quickly became overwhelming. Then a friend of mine, who lives in the UK, asked me to help her. Suddenly I realized I had no idea how working from home in the UK worked.

Well, I found an EXCELLENT resource: Workingmums.co.uk
This site has a job list full of opportunities that are legitimate! If you're looking to work from home, check out forums and sites like these to find real paying job. It's so worth it!

Stylish Maternity Clothes

Women's clothing has come a long way, especially maternity clothing. I remember when I was regnant with my children; I dreaded the thought of having to buy maternity clothes. It was bad enough I knew I was going to gain weight, I didn't want to look frumpy in clothes as well. I managed to find some nice maternity clothes but none of the items looked very flattering.

Browsing online recently for women's clothing, I came across a site that sells dvo maternity clothes and I must admit, I was surprised to see such a selection! Where were all these fashionable maternity clothes when I was pregnant? There are styles available for any occasion, work attire, sporty clothes, clothes for when you're home relaxing and the best is that all these clothes are made to be comfortable.

I took a look at some of the shirts and dresses available online and it became obvious they are made to be flattering on a pregnant woman's body--to accentuate her beauty, not hide it. I am particularly fond of this dress: I am particularly fond of this dress:

I know a few pregnant women who are just now starting to look into buying maternity clothes because they are realizing that buying 'regular' clothing in a bigger size is just not comfortable. Instead of hiding behind bulky sweatshirts and pants that do not fit correctly, having the right maternity clothes is definitely the way to go.

Women are all made so differently and it is important to find clothing that fit your particular body style. With this in mind, I have found that Very.co.uk has attire that does just that--suits all types of body styles and has a clear focus the latest trends and fashion.

Peek-A-Boo

I'm here just working. Blah Blah Blah, right? Actually, I've been trying to find legitimate online jobs to post to my Independent World Community Blog--on the hunt for technology jobs to post.

And honestly, we have been doing a lot of family stuff! I have tons of pictures and stories to post! I am hoping to have everything updated by next week!
