Last Day in PA!

Thank the Gods this is the last day in PA! It's been in the 40's and 50's the last few days; along with wind and rain! I had the HEAT on last night for a bit!  It's supposed to be partly sunny and in the 70's by next week here and in the upper 80's in Florida - figures! We're off to Disney tomorrow at 6 am!

We're taking our Honda Pilot. I wanted to rent/by and RV - seriously, I did! LOL! I even looked up the cost for rv repair should we need it but CJ squashed that idea. Oh well, at least the Honda has a DVD player in it!

By the way, I created another blog 'Disney Vacation Trip Reports' to document this trip.
In addition to the new blog, I also created a Facebook Fan Page and a Twitter account as well!

So now, when we're on vacation I will be posting real time updates to the new blog which will in turn post to the Facebook Fan Page and Twitter! Once we're back, I'll have wonderful documentation of our trip and will be able to write up a nice trip report without missing anything!

I hope you'll subscribe to the new blog and become a fan/follower!

Olivia's Spring School Picture

Here is Olivia's spring school picture; she is so tall for 7 years old! Wow!

Her skin is so flawless and fare, I hope she doesn't eve have to deal with acne problems. She also has really fine hair but then again, so did I. I used to have straight hair too but now its completely curly; naturally so. It's so exciting to see the changes in her.

Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe

While we are in Disney, CJ will be frequenting Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe, his favorite eatery! Do they make men diet pills? He's gonna need them!

Cosmic Rays is nestled in Tomorrowland. We spend lots of time in Tomorrowland because the Buzz Lightyear ride is there, LOL - CJ spends lots of time in Tomorrow because Ray's is there! I must say, they do have the BEST quick service food as far as I'm concerned, in the Magic Kingdom anyway.

I wrote a review about it; read my review: Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe - Review

Driving to Disney

We'll be driving to Disney World again this year, in our own vehicle. I sure can't wait to see this:

I've always been a firm believer in renting a vehicle for this drive. We got an excellent insurance quote from the rental company but then I realized our own insurance would cover a rental anyway so there were no worries about insurance. Our sticking point was cost; the best price we found was $450 a week with an additional $10 per day for an added driver. Around $1,000 to rent a vehicle.

Renting is good because you can get the vehicle you want; we always loved going with a large 12 passenger van (hence the cost) but having all that room was so nice for the 5 or 6 of us. If something happens to the vehicle, cal the rental company - they call a tow truck and bring another vehicle. If something happens to our vehicle, well, we get it towed and then wait for it or get a rental from insurance and have to worry about leaving our vehicle somewhere until we drive back.

Anyway, money was definitely the big factor in deciding to take our own vehicle, plus we have a DVD player - that is such a life saver!

Burning the Midnight Oil

We have 6 days until we're in Disney and so far I've got just about everything that's needed for the trip. So, I've been spending most of my time writing articles, trying to get ahead for work. I did a bunch of fashion articles, the last one was on how to coordinate any outfit with a pair of boots; pretty easy stuff to write about if you ask me!

Today I plan on going to Target to get those little bathroom necessity and any other incidentals we will need for the trip. Once that is done we're golden!

5 Computers

We have 5 computers in this house! FIVE! Now all I need is a KVM switch to control it all! Muuaahhaaaaa

Actually, once the kids get a bit older and need to use computers for school, having 5 will be almost a necessity - how sad is that? Speaking of kids ad school, I just got Livi's spring photos back! I am going to scan them at some point today and then post them here ;)

A Phone for a 7 Year Old? I Don't Think So

Olivia keeps giving my cell phone number to her friends at school and I have to keep asking her to please NOT do that!!!She wants to talk to her friends on the phone...at 7 years old? What in the hell do two 7 year olds have to discuss? Okay, I can see maybe her BFF Mayzi as they don't see each other much at all anymore but school 'friends'?

CJ and I talked about maybe we'd get the kids cell phones but prepaid cell phones and only for when they are not home and need to get a hold of one of us. Until then, none of our kids need phones!!
